Anarchy in California

Liberals do not believe in laws. If they disagree with a law, they have a novel solution. They simply ignore it.

In the city of Los Angeles we are seeing the latest example of this.

What is going on?

California passed a law a little while back. If you are an illegal alien and the cops stop you, they will impound your car. Technically the law says if you are driving without a valid driver's license, then they impound your car.

The city of Los Angeles, ever diligent to make certain their city is safe for illegal aliens, has announced it will simply not enforce the law.

The politically correct Los Angeles Police Department said most of those impacted are low income workers and it would not be fair to them. The costs for getting a car out of impound are quite steep in Los Angeles and according to the LAPD it unfairly deprives illegals of their ability to make a living.

What the hell?

Fair?

Is it fair to the American who loses their job or who cannot get a job because the job is being filled by an illegal alien, willing to work for less money or even work under the table.

The AAA did a study last year and found that unlicensed drivers, which overwhelmingly means illegal aliens who cannot get a license, were five times more likely to be involved in accidents and flee the scene of accidents when they were involved.

Los Angeles, which has long been a sanctuary city, is simply pandering to illegal aliens.

Here is a novel idea. Why don't we start enforcing our immigration laws and this will solve the problem. Every year, many Americans die because illegal aliens are driving on the streets and because of their poor driving abilities, they hit and kill Americans.

Is it asking the government too much to enforce our laws and protect Americans?

With the Obama Regime, it is.

Illegal alien advocates are whining, saying that this problem would be solved if we just gave illegal aliens driver's licenses.

Of course, the illegal alien advocates want us to just erase the borders, grant amnesty and let the illegals pillage America.

Hopefully we will end up with a new President in 2013 who will think Americans deserve protection and stop persecuting American states that want to protect their citizens against the invasion of illegal aliens.

You're right the employers do need to check their employee's status to see if they're citize. ns and if not should be fined. But what if those illegals were legal getting paid minimum wage and possibly collecting some form of health care? The price on all of our domestic fruits and veggies would be through the roof. You haven't seen inflation yet, just a small taste, wait until those veggies and fruits increase 5five times they are now, you' ll really see the shi# hit the fan.
Illegals are worth something to this country, just by keeping inflation of products to a minimal. However there are so many other places where they are obviously detrimental to our American way of life, which include, welfare, education, health insurance, car insurance, public penal system, correctional facilities; the list goes on and on. So, I guess if some politician has the cojones to really push for the immigration reform then that three dollars I would pay for a Californian orange would actually be a bargain. But there aren' t too many Americans who would be willing to pick those oranges or strawbwerries

Just look at the numbers,, then tell me that illegal immigration is a benefit to the consumer.

I have looked at the numbers. With the free medical care, schooling, housing, food stamps, car insurance, jails, etc. the bottom line cost is that they are a large burden on society. The low cost of fruid does nothing, compared to the benefits on taxpayers dollars that they recieve. I dont work hard to pay taxes to pay for illegals to go to schools with my children. That is not my responsiblity, same with every other benedit including having children on my dime. Where in the constitution does it require me to pay taxes for illegals?

Then why do they receive benefits from my hard work, for taxes I pay for my children and legal children?

I agree with you, I think we're saying the same thing, if you read my entire response. I know they are a complete drain on our society but who will perform most of their jobs? Many in our country are overqualified or too proud to pick a strawberry or to mow a lawn. I'll send my kids to do that work for the summer if need be but that won't be their careers after college, I hope any way. LOL, but seriously, I teach in a district that houses quite a few illegals so where do we go from here?

I see many mothers walking around holding the hand of one child while pushing the infant in a stroller, it's disgusting and I'm mad as heck, but how do we enforce this? Baby is born here and is a citizen, then so is the mom, right? I guess I wouldn't be so angry if they just would assimilate, not seek my tax dollars to pay for their survival and speak English, I can't communicate with 3/4 of the students' parents.

Let's get the Boarder secure so we can keep us safe, so the number of illegals does not continue to increase. I think we're around 20-25 million. Hey, here's a novel idea; let's remove the boarder baby rule. If you're born here you're a citizen, I don't think so, you're a citizen from YOUR country but not the USA. So, take you're free healthcare, your baby and go home now, thank you.

King Canute, believing in his majesty, tried to order the tides to change. Didn't work. California conservatives are in somewhat the same position as the king. That's because we have more people who vote for a living than people who work for a living. Try as we might, we can't get the tide to change.

Ahhhh California, the state that spawned Jerry Brown, Barbara Boxer, and my all time favorite Nancy Pelosi (my keyboard just nearly melted). Appropriately referred to as the land of Nuts and Fruits (that's being kind I think), there should be no surprise at just about ANYTHING they "decide".. I just wish they would decide to succeed from the US. Due to their population they garner a lot of political power, and look who they elected in their own state, re-electing goof ball Jerry Brown, the only thing more rediculous than that was electing the Terminator.. The "government" has clearly demonstrated in multiple ways it does NOT intend to enforce our laws or protect Americans. In fact our government (keyboard melting again) has made concerted efforts to destroy the basis of our country, the Constitution..

On other posts, this is the Socialist way of doing business.

Ignore the existing laws and put socialist in the jobs.

One solution is for the businesses that are hurt to stop paying taxes.

It would not take but one tax cycle to upset the entire government.

I heard something the other day about Los Angeles recommending the repeal of the First Amendment. I didn't hear the whole thing so I am not sure the whole story. My reaction though was it fits right into the mindset in liberal land unless of course, they are the ones speaking.

Yes, we need to make sure not only that our next President gets it, but also that we

only put into local offices Conservatives who will stop and reverse the illegal invasion

from Mexico. Use E-verify to cut off the jobs, stop the Federal prosecution of states

which enforce our immigration laws, cut off Federal funds for "Sanctuary Cities", no

public funds for seditious hate groups like La Raza and MetCha and stop public

aid for illegals. Then watch how fast this problem solves itself!

If you want to see stupidy, just check out our Governor and State Legislator. Then check out the the bloated government in Sacreamento, filled with agencies that dont do anything but waste taxpayers money. This is just like DC, progressives overspending budgets, then blaming the rich that they dont pay thier fair share. Look at the major of LA. He spends more taxdollars are parties, movies, baseball, hockey games, etc. He is a great party in LA at taxpayers expense, morons in LA love him, a real true progressives wing nut. Ca is done, with Moonbeam leading the charge towards bankrupcy.

We have "Criminals" running our country and government who are actually "more so" in violation of the laws than the ones they prosecute.

Charged with the "duty" of enforcing the law without respect of persons, they violate the law in showing respect of persons.

Just look at the "courts" that have refused to consider Obama's eligibility because of his "position".

America no longer has a "JUSTICE" system, prosecution now depends on your "political correctness" and "political connection".

Holder and his "fast and furious gun running scheme" is evidence of that.

I think America has went down the tube a lot farther than most people realize.

When you let the fox watch the chicken coop, what did America think what was going to happen. They elect Communists who promote Socialism/Communism. They promote hate, division, envy, jealousy, good is now bad and bad is now the new good, etc. Justice is defined as Social Justice, or now "Redistribution of Wealth, taxpayers are evil, unions are good. Religion is evil, Ends justify the means is good. To lie, cheat, steal is ok, as long as you win. Discipline from parents is evil, children getting their way, good.

When we start electing people who represent us, manage our money, spend is wisely, not use money for bribes, we will change. IMHO, California (where I live now) is done. It elects parasites who continue to feed off the host. When the hosts leave, the parasites have no one to blame, no one to feed off of. Then they go after eachother, till there is nothing left. California is filled locusts, waiting for take it down.
