Rick Santorum supporters have a difficult but important choice to make in the next few days as the Florida primary comes up on Tuesday.
Rick Santorum has left Florida. He knows he cannot win Florida. FLorida is the first of the Winner take all states. In other words, Florida is crucial.
Mitt Romney and Newt Gingrich are running neck and neck in Florida. By all accounts this race is going to be very close.
The Santorum voters can make the difference.
The Republican establishment is working overtime to make Mitt Romney the nominee. While those of us who support Newt and those who support Rick Santorum may disagree about who is the best candidate, we all agree Mitt Romney is not the candidate. He is a liberal who probably cannot defeat Obama this fall and even if he does, will govern much as Obama did.
If Romney wins Florida, he will be ordained as the Republican nominee and both Gingrich and Santorum will have a very hard time stopping him.
If you are a Rick Santorum supporter, it is time to think strategically. If Romney wins, the race is over for Santorum. If Newt wins, he may or may not be able to continue, but that that is a different story.
If you vote for Rick Santorum in the Florida primary, you are splitting the vote with Newt. Splitting the vote with Newt will guarantee a Romney win.
That we all agree must not happen.
If you support Rick Santorum, use your vote to help stop Mitt Romney in Florida. Whether you agree or disagree with Newt Gingrich, he is close enough to stop Romney with your help.
If you are a Floridian who supports Rick Santorum, I strongly urge you to vote for Newt Gingrich in the Florida Primary. If you know someone who lives in Florida, please urge them to vote for Newt Gingrich.
Let's stop Romney and keep a liberal from becoming the Republican nominee.

Permalink Reply by kj in TX on WRONG. See Thomas' post a few up from here. Probably page 2... READ IT. He is CORRECT in the FACT that Rubio is NOT a natural born citizen. Rubio's parents were legal immigrants (both of them!!), and NOT YET NATURALIZED as US CITIZENS when Rubio was born. Rubio is a US Citizen ONLY, and therefore NOT eligible to be VPOTUS.

Rick Santorum is a real deal just like Michele Bachmann was, but they never could muster up enough money or organization that could carry them in the same league with the big ones. Let's face it if you can't be in the public eye with 24/7 exposure, than as those who can spend a billion, there's no hope the public will get to know you.
Yes, years ago, when Americans knew their history, their politicians, they didn't need to blast their ads on TV. They didn't even have TV just radio. But in those days there were really informed and educated Americans. They learned about their candidates from doing research. We're dealing with a different breed of people. They can be brainwashed to follow not the best, but the loudest and most seen.
As much as you want Santorum, he just can't compete with the big money. It's unfair but it is reality. Therefore, wouldn't you want to direct your vote for Rick to someone who really may hava a chance at beating BHO and who comes closest to Rick's ideology?
Numerous times Rick professed his admiration of Newt. He even said that if it were not for Newt's guidance, he would not be in politics? Then why not take your very important vote and give it to Newt to stop Mitt, the Obama-lite liberal.
As soon as Rick Perry dropped out of the race, he pledged his support for Newt. Perry knew that his support was needed in this fight. If all those Americans, who supported Perry, Cain, and Bachmann and add to it Santorum, would pledge their vote to Newt, MItt would be beaten and we could send Mitt back to Bain Capitol who is part of the great conspiracy to elevate him to the top. His company spread the lie that he, too, was a conservative. . After all, Bain owns most of conservative radio. But that doesn't prove Mitt is one. Please reconsider and we can hopefully save America.

It is between Romney and Newt. A vote for Santorum is a vote for Romney, who will have a harder time defeating Obama. Republicans win with strong conservatives like Reagan, not with moderates, like McCain. You might as well say that a vote for Santorum is a vote for Obama. I don't think that is what you want. I urge all Santorum supporters to be team players. For the good of the country, please support Newt!

Just like in the old west, the guy with the good heart and fast gun got the job as sheriff, so it is in the world for the U.S. It is so sad that so many in the world are agains us. Not to say we have not brought some of that blame upon ourselves,as Ron keeps remining us, but were it not for the U.S., where would most of the world be? Heck, we might all be speaking German!
No, Ron is right on a lot of things, but we need people running the country that are going to have a balanced view of our responsibility in the world.

Most people look at RP's domestic policy as reasonable but believe his foreign policy ideas are dangerous.
However what do you not understand about our money going to foreign countries or to wars that were invalid.
Did you ever read the constituion under powers of Congress where it says provide for the common defense.
Defense means if attacked you retaliate. The preemptive doctrine is offense not defense. RP would go to the aid of allies and continue the fight against al queda.
