During the 2008 election, Michelle Obama said for the first time, she was for the first time in her adult life, "proud of her country."
If this video is correct, it does't look like the pride held. At the September 11th Ceremonies, as the honor guard is bringing in the flag, Michelle Obama appears to mouth to her husband the words, "all of this for a flag?" She then appears to roll her eyes. Barack Obama nods in apparent agreement.
Perhaps we should ask her, as the families and the country marks the 10th anniversary of a savage attack on our country,"have you no shame? At long last, have you no shame?"
It is obvious she has no patriotism.

Permalink Reply by bill campbell on I would venture to guess that patriotism has its origin in love. And it starts with love of self. This love of self can blossom into respect and responsibility. Respect for self and directed to others. Responsible for ones deeds and actions that can only be attained through this love, first for self and then others. Responsibility, respect, and love is not and has never been shown by the Obama's, either one of them (watch their body language). Without those qualities, I do not ever expect to see any side of Patriotism by either of the Obama clan. Could it be Bam Bam;s mom, dad or even deeper than that? I feel it is their intense hatred and jealousy for those that have love, self respect and has participated in the act of sharing with family, friends, church, country, etc, which neither has ever participated.
Neither Obama's have ever been taught to love, look at the teachings of Reverend Wright. But it goes even deeper than that, Barack has already claimed he is muslim, of which most muslims have an intense hatred of the world in general. I do not feel I am paranoid about this. It is from observing all muslim movements. A question I continue to ask myself, and I can not answer. Ask of yourself, name one country or area that the muslim has gone, that is better after the arrival of muslims than before their arrival. I can think of none. Having worked in muslim nations and territories, I have found that control, through their sharia law, teaches and rewards those that instill fear and use fear to control, one tactic that both obamas use.
As someone said many years ago, and my father instilled in me, "actions speak louder than words." At this point, the obamas have acted, and no one was paying attention. They only heard the words, words without any action that would benefit no one other than the obamas.
A perfect scenario for a leader that is a dictator, a dictator can not control a freedom loving people, that can protect themselves and each other. A dictator that controls with the influence of fear by the people and for those that do not comply. Remember the well armed army that he promised, better equipped than the American military, Unions, SEIU, police departments, DOJ, FBI, et el. BE READY!
A family with no love, no respect, no responsibility, and of course........ NO COUNTRY, where did he spend most of his young life?

I think he might be ok acting as a chef, as you stated, pun intended or Freudian? Of course, I would refrain from eating anything he might put be fore me.

I still can't figure out how the taxpayers ended up paying for her trip(s) when she is not the president but the president's wife! They get a paycheck from the taxpayers and should be using that to rent Air Force one, pay the pilot and crew and the Secret Service they need to go on vacation!

They reaffirm the bonds of loyalty and fellowship that cement our national unity. Yes, at one level a flag is just a colorful piece of cloth. But it symbolizes much more. It is the emblem of our land and all its ideals. It has been present at every major event of any importance to the country, battles, celebrations, meetings, and the lunar landings. It is a symbol of unity that transcends party, faction and time. It is something uniquely and explicitly American. Men and women have fought and died for it. Our enemies hate us for it and burn it in the streets. All that should mean something.
Perhaps Mrs. Obama thinks that all the pomp and circumstance she experiences in her daily life has something to do with her, rather than the unofficial office she holds. If so she should disabuse herself of that notion quickly. The official gestures of respect shown to her are the same shown to any First Lady, and if she wasn’t married to the president she would be just another citizen. Ruffles and flourishes are not hers by right, but by coincidence of marriage. Yet this is the same woman who said she had never in her adult life been really proud of America before her husband ran for president, so it is no wonder she might dismiss a flag ceremony as just so much nonsense.
All this just for a flag? Has anyone said, “all this just for Michelle Obama?”

Permalink Reply by Paul Klaus on This is reminiscent of Mr. Obama trying to toast the Queen of England during their national anthem. His clumsiness as the Queen ignored him spoke volumes. These two folks seem to dwell in their own private world as absolute monarchs. They are so detached and aloof that they can think of no one greater than themselves and no world view beyond their own. Furthermore they are such hard core ideologues that they lack empathy to the point that they can't even relate to people who value their nation, their people, and their way of life.
For people who are supposedly so well educated and refined how is it that they cannot grasp or will not accept the significance of the flag or anthem that symbolizes the embodiment of a nation, and render due respect? These two people cannot merely be dismissed as arrogant, insensitive, uncouth louts; even though they are that and more. Their inability and/or unwillingness to recognize the need for the rendering of due honor to the symbol of an entity far greater than any one person demonstrates their total ineptitude as heads of state and makes them a very real danger to free people everywhere. This ready willingness to disregard the sacred where other people are concerned seems very much in line with the statist way of thinking that resulted in the death of tens of millions of innocent people in the last century.

So when the H3LL does someone take these to under their wing and give them some lessons on Equitte...
What is strange though is that Obama will bow to a King of one of the middlle eastern counties or Muslm country yes has not manners for other affairs.
