Poor Keith Olbermann! (Read that like my voice is dripping with sarcasm, because it is.)
Yesterday, TMZ reported that Keith Olbermann was fired from Current TV. And according to them, Olbermann is furious with his old boss, Al Gore, for the firing. He’s saying he’s going to file a lawsuit!
Sounds like this could be a new show, “When Uber Liberals Attack - Each Other!”
I guess he wanted to give himself a day-early birthday present by firing Olbermann, because the day before his birthday, Al Gore released a statement, claiming Keith was disrespectful and disloyal to viewers.
Olbermann fired back saying, “It goes almost without saying that the claims against me implied in Current’s statement are untrue and will be proved so in the legal actions I will be filing against them presently.”
Olbermann then went on to drop this little bombshell: “The truth of the ethics of Mr. Gore and Mr. Hyatt [Current co-founder] will come out.”
Juicy, juicy, juicy! Makes me wonder just what sort of dirt old Keith has on the man who would be President.
Olbermann’s statement is as follows:
“I’d like to apologize to my viewers and my staff for the failure of Current TV.
Editorially, Countdown had never been better. But for more than a year I have been imploring Al Gore and Joel Hyatt to resolve our issues internally, while I’ve been not publicizing my complaints, and keeping the show alive for the sake of its loyal viewers and even more loyal staff. Nevertheless, Mr. Gore and Mr. Hyatt, instead of abiding by their promises and obligations and investing in a quality news program, finally thought it was more economical to try to get out of my contract.
It goes almost without saying that the claims against me implied in Current’s statement are untrue and will be proved so in the legal actions I will be filing against them presently. To understand Mr. Hyatt’s “values of respect, openness, collegiality and loyalty,” I encourage you to read of a previous occasion Mr. Hyatt found himself in court for having unjustly fired an employee. That employee’s name was Clarence B. Cain.
In due course, the truth of the ethics of Mr. Gore and Mr. Hyatt will come out. For now, it is important only to again acknowledge that joining them was a sincere and well-intentioned gesture on my part, but in retrospect a foolish one. That lack of judgment is mine and mine alone, and I apologize again for it.”
Grab your popcorn, people, this one’s going to be fun!
If they'd air the fight on pay per view, they may actually have a saleable product.

If Oberman is fired and no one is watching anyway, does anyone care???
Permalink Reply by Jack Kemp on March 31, 2012 at 4:23pm Sherry, to paraphrase an old joke, Olbermann will go to court and say he is the best person in the world. When the opposing attorney asks him who said so, he will reply that God told him. Then Al Gore will leap from his seat and say, "I did not!"
Permalink Reply by Charles F Nichols on March 31, 2012 at 4:28pm This could have been posted with one sentence. I have serious doubt that unless someone posts another blog about the above mentioned three. I shall never be aware of the outcome. Truth be told I only knew of obeirwan knenobie's existence solely due to the internet as whenever I hear insane language on my television I find my remote very near. For these extreme times such as these ,I love my remote.

Permalink Reply by Robbie Eagle on March 31, 2012 at 5:30pm I love this.I hope Fox airs the whole case on tv. olbermann could not bash Fox enough. He is obsessed with it.I hope he gets gore's energy consuming homes & air plain. gore doesn't need all of those energy consuming, planet destroying, extravagant toys, causing global warming & leaving environmental footprints on our mother earth.Give him a log cabin with a fireplace to keep him warm & cook on,but don't forget to impose the carbon tax on his fireplace.A well for his drinking water,& if you catch him bathing & doing laundry in the creek, dumping in the woods let the EPA fine him $25,000 a day until the pollution is cleaned up.
Permalink Reply by Tim Sheflin on March 31, 2012 at 5:39pm Well, it's great to see that they are turning on themselves. Here is hoping that Olbermann and his loyal viewer will cause a massive drop in subscribership to Gore's network and that Gore's firing of Olbermann will once and for all silence his sewage filled, myth spewing mouth for good.
