Most of us realize climate change is upon us. Everyone other than Al Gore calls it “Fall.” Rick Perry bashed the global warming hucksters, er, scientists the other day and Mr. Hot Air, Al Gore had to jump in.
Al Gore on Friday bashed the notion that climate scientists are manipulating data for financial gain, a charge levied by global warming skeptics, including GOP White House hopeful Rick Perry.
“This is an organized effort to attack the reputation of the scientific community as a whole, to attack their integrity, and to slander them with the lie that they are making up the science in order to make money,” Gore said in an online interview. “These scientists don’t make a lot of money. They are comfortable, as they should be, but they don’t make a lot of money. That is not their motivation for doing what they do,” Gore added.
His comments came in a wide-ranging interview with Alex Bogusky, a prominent former advertising executive who is working with Gore on the former vice president’s Climate Reality Project.
Gore didn’t mention Perry by name in the interview, although Bogusky mentioned Perry as part of a broader question about doubt and climate science.
Perry, the Texas governor, attacked climate scientists at a campaign stop in New Hampshire last week. “I think there are a substantial number of scientists who have manipulated data, so that they will have dollars rolling into their, to their projects,” Perry said.
Is Al Gore really that dense? Well, yes he is.
It is beyond dispute the “global warming scientists” are manipulating data. Perhaps the only mystery is why.
Rick Perry thinks they are doing it for money. They certainly get it from the global warming establishment. Maybe they are just doing it because they are pathological liars. Just like Al Gore.
Rick Perry may not be right on why they are lying. He is right, when it comes to global warming, the so-called “climate scientists” and Al Gore are lying.

I think they are statist. I think many of them have authoritorian ambitions. I think many of them are freedom-fearing and distrust other people having rights and personsal liberties. I think many of them, perhaps most of them are congenital kleptoparasites who seek ways to prey on and pilfer from productive members of society. I think they certainly have those and perhaps many others of the characteristics of the dutiful Marxist but they are not good dreamy-eyed ideological communists or socialists because their motivation is sheer personal greed and selfishness. Hard-eyed, calculating thievery is their chosen method of operation.
Stalinists?....Not much of a stretch. Left wing fascists or nazis, even? Absolutely. Leninist or Marxist?....Nah, not very.
Be aware of and beware UN Agenda 21!
Is it possible for the federal government of The United States to be an un American organization? If you think not, take another, closer look at what is going on in Washington.
Permalink Reply by John Walsh on August 26, 2011 at 8:55pm Judson, who are among this "substantial number of scientists" who have manipulated data? The conservative charge of a few years back, alleging that scientists had fudged their data, was soundly refuted by independent inquiry.
The issue of anthropogenic climate change is almost as solidly supported by the scientific community as that of evolution.
You don't like Al Gore. You don't like liberals. I get it. But that's no reason to abandon science.

Permalink Reply by Judson Phillips on August 26, 2011 at 9:10pm Wrong! The science of "global warming" or climate change has almost as much credibility as the flat earth society. It has been repeatedly demonstrated over and over that the "data" is at best wrong and in many cases has been manipulated or changed to achieve the desired result.
I love science, which is why I laugh so hard at Al Gore and his global warming hucksters.

That is, if you want the truth.
Permalink Reply by Jim Coles on August 26, 2011 at 10:20pm The 'exoneration' of the boys at East Anglia was done by their fellow academics and members of the Royal Academcy of Science, the official position of which is that AGW is a proven fact. The Academy's position, adopted in the mid-90s, helped to drive the British government's official postion that Global Warming or Climate Change is proven to be man-caused and as being the policy of that government to make extraordinary efforts to combat it -- via taxation and circumscription of personal behaviors of British subjects.
The only problem with all of that is that continuing and ongoing science -- actual temperature measurements, satellite measurement of heat loss from the upper atomosphere; studies of solar energy in cloud formation and comparison of real-world metrics to the models used by the AGW crowd don't support the supposedly 'settled science' behind the AGW scam.
You should read the latest studies by the folks at CERN ... they're devastating to the AGW theory. You should read the last astronomical solar studies concerning solar radiation's role in cloud formation...those studies show the AGW cloud theory to be 180-degrees out from correct.
Rather than abandoning science, we are pushing the boundaries of science in an effort to actually climatic cycles and the forces that drive them. What is becoming abundantly clear is that the impact of human activity on global atmospheric processes is negligible, at most.
Oh, one last thing...research the leading or trailing effect of CO2...you'll find that carbon dioxide and methane are trailing effects -- by several centuries -- of periodic warming...and that they actually have very little correlation to rising or declining temperatures.
But you're right...most of us don't like Al Gore...few here like Liberals...I'm glad you get that...but it is the AGW crowd that has abandoned science in favor of the new Druidism.
