I don't know about you guys, but I've been receiving a lot of emails from TPN in the last day or so. Hundreds of them!
Furthermore, they've mostly arrived during the wee hours. And many of them inform me of things that happened days ago! (Made me wonder if the U.S Postal Service was involved in the delivery...)
Well, I've done a bit of research, (snooping around) and will summarize what I've learned. Some of it may become a bit technical, for which I now apologize in advance.
Here goes...
TeaPartyNation.com is one of the larger websites hosted at NING systems. Among other things, Ning distributes the mail. Due to a "software glitch" a great deal of email over the past month or so simply hasn't gone out!
By analogy, the gnomes in the back room of TPN have been forwarding the emails to NING, whose gnomes lick the stamps and ship them out.
Has NING fired too many of their gnomes? Are their gnomes SEIU, or OWS protesters? These are things yet to be determined.
Untold numbers of emails may have been lost forever.....large BFI trucks (no, not Big eFfing Indians)
have been seen leaving the docks at NING. What were they hauling?
As well, it is noted that email that's been stuck in corners of the chutes are going out now! Hence the date problems.
So that's pretty much what I've been able to learn to date! Any questions?
Note:
I am not a gnome, I'm a mushroom. They keep me in the dark, and feed me B.S.. But I try!

Sorry, I enhanced my post and re-issued. Your reply now belongs just below, grumpy!
We default to real-time feedback options for ongoing discussions, quite useful for many.
When it is working properly, that is.........
The option for once a day updates is on your profile. See the help file How do I control which Emails I receive?
Some people want more info than the default setup, some want less! You change it, we cannot!

Instead, I use my delete button extremely well. That's what its for.

Permalink Reply by k.t.borland on May 28, 2012 at 10:21pm I am overwhelmed,I replied to one post and recieved 250 replies! I get at least 10 to 15 posts a day from TPN!Too much! Thought about unsigning?Love to hear from Judson,Vern and everyone....But,PLEASE STOP!!!Can't take it anymore,Just like hearing O give Another Speech! PS,grumpy,I unsubscribed from World Net Daily a year ago, liked them, but TOO much e-mail!
LOL. I have been contemplating this over delivery lately. However, from the point of time lost. Between Darla, Amy, and those hosted by Judson, I am spending more time wading thru emails than I spend on all the advertizements, demands for money, which I no longer have, need to send faxes, Threats, bad news, and reports on new bills that Obama just signned into law, I sometimes take a day or 2 to clear my head and delete everything still on the computer. I would wish to have no more than 2emails from any one person per day. Love ya!

An ISP suffers from the all too familiar problem most Americans experience . . . cash flow issues. As their business grows, cash flow improves, but many times, not at the pace as the cost of new hardware, T1's, fiber connects and staffing.
NING surely will solve it . . . . looks like they did it 2 years ago . . . there business depends on a solution that works for everyone.
Contrast their solution (free enterprise and competition) to obama's Green Energy Stimulus cash incinerator, which produced nothing but smoke, as the cash was burned . . . . to produce electricity and pre-pay some of his bundlers?
Permalink Reply by Rich Knoch on May 26, 2012 at 10:38am I should have added . . . . . the Feds now have the authority and deviousness to slow down, stop and/or control segments of the internet, scanning EMails, etc. . this, being a Conservative Blog, could be in their crosshairs?

This is not intended to start a rumor . . . . . just pointing out the facts!
"rolled out a better/faster/more complete solution 2 years ago", Rich?
I think we can assume this site went for the high end PRO, plus all the bells and whistles and more.
Never good to take a firm's press releases as gospel! And perhaps even worse to link them as the basis of your conclusions!
Permalink Reply by Mindy on May 26, 2012 at 10:24am TPN is not alone in this problem. Paul Revere Media has had the same problem and yesterday members got a TON of emails which had not been delivered over the past few weeks. I think the server got constipated and it took some meds to clear the system. LOL Both you and they are back up and running and your followers are lined up to catch up with the information both of you provide. Blessings..........

I bet it's really frustrating to the moderators! But it gives them something to do, I guess....
