I don't know about you guys, but I've been receiving a lot of emails from TPN in the last day or so. Hundreds of them!
Furthermore, they've mostly arrived during the wee hours. And many of them inform me of things that happened days ago! (Made me wonder if the U.S Postal Service was involved in the delivery...)
Well, I've done a bit of research, (snooping around) and will summarize what I've learned. Some of it may become a bit technical, for which I now apologize in advance.
Here goes...
TeaPartyNation.com is one of the larger websites hosted at NING systems. Among other things, Ning distributes the mail. Due to a "software glitch" a great deal of email over the past month or so simply hasn't gone out!
By analogy, the gnomes in the back room of TPN have been forwarding the emails to NING, whose gnomes lick the stamps and ship them out.
Has NING fired too many of their gnomes? Are their gnomes SEIU, or OWS protesters? These are things yet to be determined.
Untold numbers of emails may have been lost forever.....large BFI trucks (no, not Big eFfing Indians)
have been seen leaving the docks at NING. What were they hauling?
As well, it is noted that email that's been stuck in corners of the chutes are going out now! Hence the date problems.
So that's pretty much what I've been able to learn to date! Any questions?
Note:
I am not a gnome, I'm a mushroom. They keep me in the dark, and feed me B.S.. But I try!

Permalink Reply by Dody Aldrin on May 26, 2012 at 10:36am I had 36 in my mailbox this morning, many duplicates and triplicates. Have had duplicates in the last several days. Glad to learn it is not my old computer.
Since I'm responding to this, tho, I may as well indicate that so many single notices every day is often overkill. Also, I wish you didn't use the teaser and then make us click on the link to go to the next page. My computer is old and slow, and this eats up a lot of my time. More often than not I end up just deleting and not reading, depending on the subject. I have at least one friend who has unsubscribd because of this, and I have been tempted to do that also, except you DO have a lot of good info. Most of the articles I do read, I share on FB. I appreciate the service you provide.

If you don't want an email everytime someone responds to an article, go to the top of the discussion page and click Stop Following.

Permalink Reply by Steve Wilson on May 26, 2012 at 11:38am Thanks Vern,
I was wondering why I was getting bombarded with the machine gun emails, not that I minded. I will take that any day over a bunch of emails from NY Times, MSNBC, CNN or anyone else from Pravda....

Why did C-Span preview Bloomberg's Commencement speech to UNC, revealing that his remarks included that based on the recent same-sex vote, obviously NC 'still has a long way to go"? I punched out at that point but wandered back long enough to hear this idiot say that the graduates really didn't know what their future would hold and whatever their plans were, they were bound to change.
Then he went on about all the jobs and businesses he tried his hand at that he had no experience or training for. Yeah like being the Mayor of NYC!! Bloomberg is a strong contender for world's biggest loser.
Then the weekly blast from BHO saying how the best tribute we can pay to our troops is to see that the Government has adequate funding to provide for their medical care, and their educations, and their housing, etc.etc
Anybody out there need a decoder ring to figure out the hidden message?
I say the best tribute would be to give the troops enough ammo and permission to kill all of the enemy, then let the free market take care of the rest which it will do if the Fed isn't running things.
Then a mid-east expert on Fox offers the startling revelations that things are not going well at all in Egypt, and our relationship with Pakistan doesn't pass the smell test.
Ya Think???
Permalink Reply by Linda G on May 26, 2012 at 11:48am I have been getting about 4 a day. I have no problem with that. I wonder if the system is been hacked by the liberals. A terrorist released from prison is now working for Obama to terrorize conservative bloggers. They found out the name and address of a prominent blogger and they are trying to financially ruin him by suing for telling the truth. This country is looking more like Russia or China every day. . The terrorist bullied Google into giving him personal info. Watch what you say on here, Facebook, Twitter, because it is all going into a database in a 2 billion dollar facility. If the cyberbullies don't get you, watch out for the drones.....
Permalink Reply by John Wiant on May 26, 2012 at 11:54am The "answer" to this and related nightmares related to emails etc. is probably no less than this: a $6 solution for each and every one of you:
http://www.amazon.com/Targus-Compact-Optical-Mouse-AMU75US/dp/B002N...
If you get one of these "Mouses" you'll discover you can switch out of a propeller plane and jump into a military jet, in terms of your ability to FLY from one thing to another.
BTW: This is one of those things where: Those who listen to me always THANK me and those who don't always LAUGH at me. You make the call. : )
Permalink Reply by martha conner on May 26, 2012 at 11:58am Unless you are already using a chat program on TPN site, I would suggest that you go to Pal Talk. It is not as well known as Yahoo but has much better chat rooms. You can also upgrade your accounts from free, and have 5 or 6 camcorders of people chatting in the room. Just a thought. These rooms can hold up to 100 or more people in them as well, and trolls are promptly taken care of.
Permalink Reply by Sallianne Lauman on May 26, 2012 at 12:02pm Not only have I been INUNDATED w/these Emails, I've gotten some of them 3 or 4 times. Maybe the gremilins are hoping that when we see so many starting with "share" we'll just get disgusted and delete them all unread. Hmmmm.

What kind of daily volume does TPN generate? (website communications x # of members)
