Disgust does not even begin to touch this.  1623 is a number that has a meaning.  Most people do not know what that meaning is and fewer even now will react to what it means.

1623 is the number of American military personnel who have died in Afghanistan.  Today, according to Fox News, we are negotiating with the Taliban to withdraw from Afghanistan.

1623 Americans have died for nothing.

We went to Afghanistan after September 11th.  It was very simple. Afghanistan was a terrorist playground with Al-Qaeda having free reign to train in that country.  The Taliban, the savage backwards Muslims who ran the country were allied with Al-Qaeda.  These clowns are the same ones who denied women basic medical service, made women wear burkas, threw acid on women who even showed a little bit of skin at the ankle.  These are the same sub human pieces of scum that routinely executed people for watching TV or listening to the radio or just not following their insane version of Islam.

In 2001, America went in.  We used bombers and a few people on the ground and let the Northern Alliance clean up the Taliban. Somewhere along the line, someone got the brilliant idea we should engage in nation building.   1623 Americans have died in Afghanistan and thousands more came home wounded or suffering PTSD or the other after effects of combat.  We have wasted hundreds of billions of dollars on that worthless pit called Afghanistan.

Now, Obama is in the process of surrendering.

1623 Americans died for nothing.

Here is a novel idea for our leaders.  When you are going to commit American forces to combat, you win the war.  Period.  Do what it takes.  Spare us the politically correct crap and certainly spare us the nation building non-sense.  Has nation building ever worked?

The answer, just in case anyone missed it, is no.

Peace talks with the Taliban?  Right.  If Obama and his team were in place in World War II, he would have responded to Pearl Harbor with negotiations on how we could surrender the pacific.

Liberals do not understand the world is a big bad place.  There are times and places to negotiate.  We can negotiate with Greece or Britain or any number of countries.  There are some people who cannot negotiate with.  There are some people that are absolutely evil. There are some people who are the personification of evil.  The Taliban is the personification of evil.

We will negotiate with the Taliban and Obama will make sure we surrender.   Our forces will be removed from Afghanistan and within a couple of years of our leaving, the Taliban will have taken over again and Al-Qaeda will have another playground.   Only this time, when Al-Qaeda launches an attack against America, we will not be able to go back.  By that time, Iran will have nuclear weapons and that will make it impossible for America to retaliate.

None of that will change the fact that 1623 Americans have died for no good reason.    As Obama sells America out again, the families of those Americans will ask why their loved ones died?

Any good reason that could have been offered is gone.  Thanks to Obama and the Party of Treason, their lives were wasted.  Next time an American President commits our military, is it asking to much to let us win?

I am getting sick and tired of Bush-Bashers.

911 was a major attack on our whole economic system and our country. The Muslims thought that bringing down the World Trade Center would destroy our country's economy, and it almost did.

Bush had a sick economy on his hands for two years, while the Democrats called him stupid and railed against everything he did to protect us from further attacks. Remember how the airlines struggled to stay alive, when everyone was afraid to fly?

Obama's problems are simple -- lower taxes, cut spending, and GET THE NLRB OUT OF BOEING'S WAY !!! What a sick ploy by the NLRB, to cause Boeing trouble over its desire to stay alive in spite of another sick union, just like the one that brought GM to its knees.

I am also tired of the Bush bashers!  Also, Bush had that 'sick economy' because the Graham/Rudmann amendment which in fact balanced the budget was NOT renewed.

I also remember the airlines struggling to 'stay alive'.  And thanks to the Regime's attack on law abiding Americans who have to fly (via TSA 'pat downs'), they are struggling again.

Lets not forget that GW inherited a recession ( And I do not remember GW pissing and moaning about it like obozo is) And that was because of Chris Dodd and the Dot Com bubble, then GW was hit with 911, and we all know about GW trying to rein in Fannie and Freddie when the progressives call him a racist.

Now GW made some mistakes but enough is enough, the mistakes and damage obozo is doing makes GW's look like nothing.

Not forgetting that at all. Although I could be wrong,  I think the fact that the Graham/Rudmann act was not renewed was what helped cause it.

While I agree with you, about the Graham/Rudmann act for the spending. I just find it amazing that they cannot control themselves. But it is easier to spend others money then their own.

But for the housing problem I blame Clinton and the repeal of the Glass Steagall Act That kept investment banks separate from commercial banks. That really got the economy rolling but look at the cost. And it is amazing that NO ONE will look at that and re-instate it instead of re-vamping the whole system

I had forgotten about the Glass Steagall act.  Thank you for reminding me.  Between refusing to adhere to those two acts, Clinton set the stage for the Crash.  Something that we need to remind everyone of 'before' election day (and over and over again until then)
"Bush Bashing" on the Middle East is endemic to Liberals. And seems to be part of the Ron Paul mantra as well. A favorite pastime! Part of his outreach to Progressive, I guess. Don't claim to understand it, but lots of references. Guess you take support where you can find it!

Before I knew 'all of Ron Paul's leanings', I did support him.  But after he introduced the amendment to end aide to Israel (and later edited it as part of damage control), I lost all respect for him.

In these days and times... Isolationism, is a poor strategy to keep this country safe from the Islamist extremists, and the countries who now have the nuclear power to attack us.

Thanks Debra,

I was also a former Ron Paul supporter in the last election, but I cannot stand with any person who will not stand with Israel. History is too accurate with what happens to nations that turn their backs on Israel. Genesis 12:3 Think over all of History.

Egypt

Babylon

Roman Empire

Spain

Germany

England

Russia

These are only a few that come to mind, but the list goes on and on. Probably all of Europe fits the bill as does all the Middle East nations who attacked Israel in 1948 and during the Six Day War. It should be obvious that G-d was fighting those wars, just as He did in The Torah against the enemies of Israel and will do to any nation that attacks, or fails to support Israel in the future. I read the end of the book. Israel wins! Count on it!

Because of Ron Pauls foolish non-support of Israel, I, as a Bible believing Christian, cannot support Ron Paul.

630 American soldiers died in Afghanistan in the first 7.3 years of the war from 2001 to 2009.

Average cost of American lives per year: 90

936 American soldiers have died in Afghanistan from 2009 through May 2, 2011 (the death of Osama bin Laden)

Average cost of Americans lives per year: 390

Compared to the average deaths in the previous 7 years of the Bush administration, over 3 times the number of American soldiers have died in the war in Afghanistan during the Obama administration than during the Bush administration.

600 additional soldiers died in order for Obama to take credit for the killing of Osama bin Laden.

IN MY EYES OBAMA CAN NEVER TAKE CREDIT FOR THE KILLING OF obl.  THE NAVY SEALS AND AMERICAN SOLDIERS GET ALL THE CREDIT.

Nixon didn't take credit for going to the moon because he was only following the Kenndy plan. All Obama did was follow Bush's plan and took credit for it.
