What will come in 2016? There are two possibilities. The first is the end of a Romney term and the second is the end of a second Obama term.
Romney was speaking to the NRA yesterday and said Obama was coming for everyone’s guns.
While he might have been engaging in a little hyperbole, he might not have been that far off.
What would a second Obama term bring.
For starters, probably the end of the Constitution as we know it.
If Obama gets a second term, he will probably get several Supreme Court nominees. Ruth Bader Ginsberg has been in poor health and in a second Obama term would probably step down. This would allow him to add a third liberal justice to the court. If one of the conservative justices retires or dies, it would allow Obama to create a liberal majority on the Court.
Over the last few years, so many crucial decisions by the Supreme Court have been 5-4 decisions, including major decisions on the 1st and 2nd Amendments. Obamacare will probably be a 5-4 decision.
Taxes will be dramatically increased in a second Obama term. By temporarily cutting the FICA (Social Security) tax, he has hastened the day that Social Security will become insolvent. That crisis will be used to make the rich “pay their fair share” and remove the cap on FICA taxes. This means for the self employed who make over $100,000 a 12.4% tax increase. There are dozens of other taxes that the Obama Regime has put into various bills. All of this of course, assumes that Obamacare is struck down by the Supreme Court.
Inflation will be back with a vengeance. The Fed has been printing money like crazy. Inflation is too much money chasing too few products. That is what we will see.
America will no longer be an economic superpower. In fact, parts of America will look like Greece (think California and Illinois). Obama will continue to borrow money and the Republicans will not have the backbone to stand up to Obama and stop the spending. Our debt will explode, not only in the amount that we owe, but because the United States will no longer be seen as such a good credit risk, our interest rates will begin to leave their artificially low rates and we will be paying much more to service our debt.
America will no longer be a military superpower. We will be a distant second behind China. Because of our exploding debt, the defense budget will be the first thing cut. Navy ships will stay in port and Air Force planes won’t fly. New weapons projects needed to keep us equal or ahead of our potential enemies will be cancelled. By 2016, Obama will unilaterally disarm America’s nuclear stockpile.
Finally we will be hit by terrorism again. Obama does not believe in making America strong and our enemies recognize weakness.
100 year ago today, the Titanic struck an iceberg and sank early the next day. 100 years from now when the history of America is written, will Obama be America’s iceberg?
Permalink Reply by hunter60 on First, I suggest that Romney or Obama are not foregone conclusions, I'm still hoping and working for a different result. Further, assuming Romney or Obama win in 2012, the outcomes will be relatively the same, just varying in intensity and timing.

We did not come here easy. We have been operating under this "Charter" for 236 years and certainly will not alter this document for light and transient issues bbut rather for the most serrious and far reaching.

Permalink Reply by Lisa Jones on I heard that Jeb Bush was eyeing 2016. That is all we need is another Bush as President! I am tired of the political games that are being played behind closed doors. The collateral damage of these games where we are the pons is too much for this country to bare!
