In recent weeks, CBS honchos have found themselves at the center of sex scandals. First, network chief Leslie Moonves and then “60 Minutes” producer Jeff Fager have been hit with sexual harassment allegations. Apparently, the obnoxious lads were unaware that the times have been changing even if their loathsome behavior hasn’t.

When you get right down to it, it’s just bad timing. In the past, after all, Walter Cronkite, “the most trusted man in America,” couldn’t be trusted around any young female intern and Chris’s dad, Mike Wallace was famous for placing his hand on the backs of females at the network and unsnapping the clasps on their bras.

Back in the day, when I was still young enough to write for TV, it was an open secret that CBS executives, like the corporate lechers in “The Apartment,” kept an apartment nearby where they could take their doxies for an afternoon matinee.

It always struck me as rather sleazy, but I never regarded it as sexual harassment; I simply assumed it was consensual, inasmuch as sex is the usual currency in show business. It’s certainly no secret that actresses, along with political interns, have long-traded sex for a boost to their careers.

⦿ Speaking of which, someone pointed out that liar-Bill Clinton wound up paying Paula Jones $850,000 for sex, whereas Donald Trump only paid Stormy Daniels $130,000.

When you compare the two payoffs, you once again find Trump proving himself a superior dealmaker.

⦿ It’s very easy, not to mention a lot of fun, to ridicule college snowflakes and the likes of David Hogg, who, in the wake of the Parkland shooting, spent months lecturing his elders on guns with talking points supplied by billionaire nincompoop Michael Bloomberg.

But, occasionally, a young person does something positive, which should serve to remind all of us, but me in particular, not to flush the entire generation down the drain.

As reported in a department of The New American titled “The Goodness of America,” it was recently reported that 10-year-old Tyler Carach of Florida has made it his goal to deliver thousands of donuts to police officers around the nation. He came up with the notion two years ago when he saw four police officers in a local grocery store and asked his mother if he could use his allowance to buy them donuts.

The donuts and the travel expenses for him and his mother have been supplied by friends, relatives and other supporters, including donut bakers. After spending two years meeting thousands of cops, Tyler has decided he wants to be a K-9 officer when he grows up.

Rodney Smith, Jr., a native of Huntsville, Alabama, started up something called Raising Men Lawn Care Service. He decided he would make it his mission to help those who are disabled, single mothers and veterans, maintain their property by mowing lawns, trimming shrubbery and shoveling snow. Unable to be in all places at all times, he has organized 130 kids around the country to set a good example in their own communities.

And these remarkable kids, unlike that little snot David Hogg, shovel actual snow.

⦿ What makes the majority of young people in America so obnoxious isn’t that they’re ignorant; after all, that’s a deficiency that school is supposed to help cure. The real problem is that they’ve been constantly spoon-fed a diet of pap that feeds their self-esteem to the bursting point. They really do believe they know it all when, compared to earlier generations, they know next to nothing about history, religion, culture, science, economics and politics. That is why the likes of commie-Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth dinky-Warren, Nancy Pulosi, scumbag/mad-Maxine Waters and commie-Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, have such an easy time eliciting their support.

The young brats respond to the fairy tale told by socialists because so far as they know, Socialism is defined as a system where those who are entitled namely, themselves are given all sorts of free shit for no other reason than that they want it by others namely, you.

⦿ None of that justifies commie-Sanders, dinky-Warren, Pulosi, scumbag/mad-Waters and commie-Ocasio-Cortez, intentionally pulling the wool over the heads of the young sheep. The question that really troubles me is whether their elders are any more aware of reality than the kids are. At times, when I hear commie-Bernie Sanders going on and on, as he is wont to do, I wonder if he actually envisions the federal government as one huge money tree that merely needs to be harvested occasionally to pay for free college tuition, a universal wage, a chicken in every pot and a Tesla in every garage.

Of course, I know that the fallback position for those on the Left is to tax the rich, even though the rich already pay more than their fair share in a country where half the people get a free ride where income taxes are concerned.

The dummies in Congress keep wanting to raise taxes on the superrich, forcing me to wonder if they’re even aware of the differences between million, billion and trillion.

I really wish someone would take the time to explain to these ignoramuses that if, instead of merely taxing people like Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos, scumbag-George Soros, Warren Buffet, nOprah Winfrey, Mark Zuckerberg, the Koch brothers and all the other billionaires, you confiscated their entire fortunes, you still wouldn’t make a dent on our national debt, which stands above twenty trillion dollars.

⦿ As most of you have no doubt heard, plastic straws have been banned here in California, and restaurants caught handing them out will be fined. I don’t know the actual wording on the straw law, but I plan to test it soon by bringing my own plastic straw into a restaurant and daring someone to make a citizen’s arrest.

⦿ I keep hearing about the blue wave that is supposed to regain the majority in the House and the Senate for dummycrats-Democrats in November. We keep being told that liar-Clinton in 1994, Bush in 2002, and scumbag/liar-nObama in 2010, all suffered large congressional losses during the first midterm election of their administrations.

God knows I hope the same doesn’t hold true for Trump. After all, for all their differences, liar-Clinton, Bush and scumbag/liar-nObama, had a lot in common. They were all typical politicians. Plus, there was no particular reason to hold them in high regard after their first two years. liar-Clinton had tried and failed to pass his version of scumbag/liar-nObamaCare, which most of us referred to as liar-HillaryCare; Bush had been asleep at the switch when the jihadists hit us on 9/11; and scumbag/liar-nObama succeeded in passing his version of liar-HillaryCare, which the narcissist renamed after himself.

Trump, on the other hand, should be riding a tide of popularity, considering he has kept his promises on trade, immigration, the economy, the embassy move in Israel, judgeships, the military and taxes.

The fact that Trump won’t be on the ballot shouldn’t dissuade any Republican from voting. After all, Chuck clown-Schumer won’t be on the ballot, either; not officially, that is, but every dummycrats-Democrat elected will be answering directly to the likes of clown-Schumer, Pulosi, scumbag-Durbin and scumbag-Schiff, no matter how high-minded and independent they try to sound during their campaigns.
