Constitution Day Challenge

The challenge is for every Tea Party/Patriot group in the entire country to contact their local shool boards and make sure that they are in compliance with the law by conducting a course of instruction on the Constitution in every school in their jurisdiction on September 17 every year, starting this year.

Constitutional study materials are available from the National Center for Constitutional Studies at http://www.nccs.net/ or from other sources. The school board may have approved study materials at their disposal already and only need institute an instructional course for "Constitution Day".

Public Law 108-447

SEC. 111. (a) The head of each Federal agency or department shall—

(1) provide each new employee of the agency or department with educational and training materials concerning the United States Constitution as part of the orientation materials pro-vided to the new employee; and
(2) provide educational and training materials concerning the United States Constitution to each employee of the agency or department on September 17 of each year.

(b) Each educational institution that receives Federal funds for a fiscal year shall hold an educational program on the United States Constitution on September 17 of such year for the students served by the educational institution.

It is imperative that our children receive instruction on the real meaning of our Constitution through the schools; it is our civic duty to ensure that this becomes a reality!
